I bought these adapters on a whim, thinking they might be a quick fix for my outdated lighting, and I've been using them for a couple of weeks now. Initially, I was skeptical—I've tried similar gadgets in the past that promised a lot but delivered little. Setting them up was fairly simple; I just screwed them into the sockets and followed the app instructions. It was nice to dim the lights from my couch or turn them off when I'm away, especially after a long day at work. I used them in the living room and bedroom, and they handled the basic on/off and dimming functions well. However, I did notice some hiccups, like the lights not responding immediately to commands, which made me wonder about reliability. Compared to my previous setup with dedicated smart bulbs, these adapters are more affordable and versatile, but they don't feel as robust. For the price, though, they're a decent upgrade if you're looking to dip your toes into smarter lighting without a huge investment. I'd recommend them with a caveat—they work, but don't expect perfection. :)
- Pros: The adapters were fairly easy to set up, connecting to my home network without much fuss, and I liked that I could control the lights from anywhere using my phone or voice. Having four in the pack meant I could upgrade multiple rooms at once, which felt like a smart value. The compatibility with standard bulb sockets made installation straightforward, and it integrated well with my existing smart home setup, adding convenience without needing new bulbs.
- Cons: As it seemed to me, the connection could be a bit unreliable at times, dropping out occasionally and requiring a reset, which was annoying. Compared to what I used before, the build quality felt a bit flimsy, and I had some doubts about its long-term durability. Also, while it works with voice commands, the response wasn't always instant, making it feel less seamless than I hoped.
