Ever wished your curtains could just open and close on their own? Well, wish no more—the Smart WiFi Curtain Switch is here to make that dream a reality. It’s like having a butler for your blinds, but without the awkward small talk. Pair it with the Smart Life App, and voilà, you’re controlling your window treatments from your couch, your bed, or even from miles away. And because talking to your house is the future, it plays nice with Google Home and Alexa too.

as an older guy who's been around the block with tech, i had high hopes for this thing. i bought it to automate my living room curtains, thinking it'd add a touch of modern ease to my days. after using it for a couple of months, i'm pretty disappointed. sure, it's neat to control it from my phone or with my voice—i can be lounging on the couch or even out of town and still manage the curtains, which is handy for letting in light during the day. but the remote is a letdown; it feels cheap and sometimes just doesn't work, forcing me to rely on the app, which is a pain to navigate. the manuals were useless, as usual, so i had to figure it out myself. integration with my other devices has been spotty; it doesn't always sync up smoothly, causing more hassle than help. for the price, i expected better reliability and a smoother experience. it does the job, but just barely, and i wouldn't recommend it to friends without some serious caveats. :)
- Pros: it's incredibly convenient to open and close my curtains from anywhere using my phone, and i like that it works with voice assistants so i can just tell it what to do without lifting a finger. setup was a breeze, much easier than i expected from these kinds of gadgets.
- Cons: the remote that came with it feels flimsy and doesn't always respond, which is frustrating. from what i feel, the companion app is clunky and not very intuitive, making it hard to get things just right. also, it doesn't play nice with all my other smart home stuff, leading to some headaches.
