Decision:

as someone who cooks a lot, i was tired of dealing with a messy bin that always seemed to stink up the place. before this, i had a basic one that i had to touch to open, and it was just gross, especially when my hands were full from prepping food. so, on a whim, i bought this smart bin, and delivery was quick, which was nice. now, it solves that problem by opening automatically, and it's very convenient for tossing scraps while i'm in the middle of cooking. compared to what i used before, it's a big upgrade because it keeps things tidier and more hygienic. most likely, it's worth it if you hate messes like i do, but i wish it were more reliable with the motion sensing. overall, it makes kitchen cleanup less of a chore, and i'm glad i got it, even if it's not perfect.

• Pros: it's very sleek and fits perfectly in my small kitchen without taking up much space, and i love that it opens on its own when i get close, so my hands stay clean while cooking. the capacity is just right for daily use, and it keeps odors contained well, which is a huge plus.
• Cons: i expected more from the smart features, as it sometimes doesn't open smoothly if i move too fast, and the battery life isn't great—i have to charge it more often than i'd like. it's a bit pricey for what it does, and the build feels a bit flimsy in places.
