as someone with a technical background and multiple degrees, i was hoping for a more robust device, but this does the job for now. i've only had it for a couple of weeks, so i can't speak to its longevity, but so far, it's performing adequately. the video quality is sharp, and i like that i can check in from anywhere, which is great since i travel for work. however, i'm disappointed that it doesn't integrate as seamlessly as i'd like with other home systems, and the sound during conversations could be clearer. overall, it's a decent buy if you're looking for basic monitoring without frills, but i might upgrade later if something better comes along. for the price, it's acceptable, but not exceptional.
- Pros: the picture is incredibly clear, making it easy to see who's at the door even from a distance, and i appreciate that it's powered by a wire so i don't have to worry about changing batteries. the ability to talk to visitors from my phone is handy, and it works well in low light, giving me some peace of mind about home security.
