as an older gal living in san jose, i bought this as a gift for myself to feel safer at home, and it's mostly solved my problem of not wanting to rush to the door all the time. before, i'd strain to see who was there, but now i can check on my phone or with the remote—super handy! it's not flawless, like when the connection acts up, but overall, it's made life easier and given me peace of mind. i'd recommend it to others, but keep in mind it might need a good wifi signal to work best.
