When I first got this trash can I was hopeful it would make life easier with the hands-free operation especially with a busy household and kids making messes. The design is sleek and it fits well in our kitchen without taking up much space which I appreciate. But after using it for a couple of weeks I've noticed issues with the sensor it doesn't always respond as it should which is frustrating when I'm in a hurry or my hands are full. Cleaning it is simple though and the materials hold up well against spills. Overall it's a decent product but the inconsistency with the automatic feature holds it back from being excellent. I'd recommend it with caution if you're okay with occasional hiccups.
