before i got this, i was using an old manual thermostat that was a pain to adjust constantly, always guessing the right temperature and wasting energy. now, with this one, i can set it and mostly forget it, which is convenient. the display is a big improvement—no more squinting or mistakes. but i have to say, for the price, i expected something a bit more robust and easier to install. the courier called ahead for delivery, which was nice, no surprises there. overall, it does the job, but it's not perfect; i could be wrong, but it feels like it's missing some advanced features that would make it worth more. it's functional, but not exceptional, very much a middle-of-the-road device. i can say for sure it's better than what i had, but not by a huge margin. if you're looking for something simple and reliable, it might work, but don't expect any wow factors. for me, it's just okay—gets the heat right without much fuss, but nothing to rave about. 😕
