i bought this on a whim because my knives were always dull, and i'm so glad i did! as someone who isn't great with gadgets, this was super easy to figure out—just press it down and it stays put. i use it almost every day now, and it's made chopping vegetables so much smoother. my partner even noticed the difference and complimented my cooking, which was a nice surprise :) could it be that it works better on some counters than others? i'm not sure, but for me, it's been a lifesaver. very happy with this purchase!
