When I first got this WTEMPO trash can, I was incredibly excited because I'm a brand loyalist and love adding smart things to my home. As a builder, I appreciate good design, and this seemed sleek. But honestly, it hasn't lived up to all the hype. The automatic opening is handy when it works, saving me from germs, but it's not always reliable—I've had moments where I wave my hand and nothing happens, which is frustrating. The waterproof part is a plus, especially with kids around making messes, but cleaning those narrow seams is a pain. Charging it is simple with the USB, no issues there. Overall, it's a decent upgrade from my old can, but I expected better performance for the price. I'd say it's good, not great, and I might stick with WTEMPO for other things, but this one could use some improvements. :)
- Pros: I liked that it opens on its own without me touching it, which is great for keeping things clean, and it charges easily with a cable, so it's always ready to use. The build feels solid and it doesn't take up much space in my bathroom, fitting nicely in a corner.
- Cons: It took some fiddling to get it working right at first, and the seams are a bit tricky to clean, which is disappointing for something that's supposed to be hands-free. Also, the automatic feature sometimes acts up, not opening when I expect it to.
