i had this old lock that was always sticking, and my grandkids kept losing keys, so i got this eufy thing to fix it. it solved the key issue fine, and i like controlling it from my phone when i travel, but the fingerprint recognition isn't as fast as they say—it messed up a few times before it got better. installation was easy enough, just followed the instructions, but the app took me a while to figure out. overall, it's better than what i had, but not perfect; in the same price range, there might be simpler options. takeaway: it does the job, but don't expect miracles.
- Pros: it's a game changer not needing keys anymore, and i can let people in from my phone when i'm away, which is handy for my kids coming home. the battery lasts a long time and warns me before it dies, and it works in all kinds of weather here in texas, no problem with the heat or cold.
- Cons: the fingerprint thing takes a bit to learn your print, so it's not always quick at first, and the app can be a bit confusing to set up, too much tapping around. for the price, i expected it to be smoother right out of the box.
