i bought these on a whim, thinking they'd jazz up my apartment and make life more fun, but reality hit hard. as a freelancer who loves cycling around the city, i wanted something easy and reliable, but setting these up was a headache—i spent ages trying to connect them, and they just wouldn't play nice with my home setup. the colors are pretty, sure, but without being able to dim them properly, it feels like a half-baked feature. i expected smart lighting to be intuitive, but this feels more like a tech project than a simple upgrade. for the money, i'd say skip it unless you're ready for some frustration. :)
- Pros: the colors are extremely vibrant and there are so many shades to choose from, which i thought would be perfect for setting different moods. i liked that i could control them with my voice through my smart home system, and the app makes it easy to set schedules, which is handy for saving energy.
- Cons: bottom line, they don't work with my existing dimmer switches, which was a big disappointment, and i had trouble getting them connected because they only work with a specific type of wi-fi network. most likely, it's not as seamless as i expected for the price.
