my first impression was positive—it was easy to install, and i got it up and running without much trouble. as a rational buyer, i appreciate that it helps cut down on energy use by only turning on when needed, which should save money over time. with multiple kids in the house, it's been helpful for those late-night bathroom trips, keeping things safe without fumbling for switches. however, it's not flawless; there are moments when it misses my presence, and i have to wave my arms or speak louder, which defeats the convenience a bit. overall, it's a solid addition to my home, making life a tad easier, but it could be improved with more customization options. i'd recommend it with some reservations, hence the four-star feel.
