Decision:

Before getting this, I was always fumbling with my traditional keys, especially with multiple kids in tow—it was a hassle trying to unlock the car while managing everything. After switching, it's an acquired taste; it's convenient when it works, but I'm disappointed because it doesn't live up to the hype. It seemed like a smart upgrade, but now I'm not so sure—it's polite to say it's okay, but I'm unhappy with the limitations. For a gift, it might be fine if the person has the right car, but overall, it's just fairly average.

  • Pros: It was fairly easy to set up without needing much technical knowledge, and delivery was quick. The device is small and doesn't add bulk in my pocket, which is nice. It works with my vehicle as expected, allowing me to unlock it just by approaching, which is a big step up from my old key.
  • Cons: As it seemed to me, it doesn't work with all cars, only specific ones from a few years back, which was a letdown. The build feels a bit cheap, and I'm concerned about its durability over time. Also, the range isn't great; I have to be quite close for it to function properly.
