So, what's the deal with this lock? Well, I got it a couple months back for our shed in the backyard, mostly to keep things secure without dealing with keys all the time. It's been fairly reliable overall. I use it daily, and it's great for quick entries—just tap my finger and it opens up. The battery life is solid; I've only had to charge it once since I got it, which is nice. But yeah, there are moments when it doesn't recognize my print right away, maybe if my hands are sweaty after working outside. The backup methods are there, but I haven't needed them much. For the price, it's a good buy, but not perfect. Would I recommend it? Sure, if you're tired of keys and don't mind a few quirks. :)
- Pros: It's awesome not needing keys anymore, and the fingerprint part works fairly well for quick access. I liked that it can remember several prints, so my partner and I both use it. The backup options are handy, especially the emergency key for when the battery runs out, and the rechargeable battery lasts a long time between charges.
- Cons: As it seemed to me, the fingerprint reader can be a bit finicky sometimes, especially with wet or dirty fingers, and the Morse code thing feels a bit gimmicky and not very practical. It's also a bit bulky compared to regular locks, which might not suit all uses.
