As a stay-at-home dad in San Jose, I got this lock to make life easier with our busy schedule. I've been using it for a couple months now, and it's been a game-changer for our front door. No more lost keys or waiting around—I just swipe my finger and we're in. It's very convenient for when my partner or the kids forget their stuff, and I can unlock it from my phone if needed. Compared to other locks in the same price range, it feels solid and well-made, but it's not perfect. Sometimes it misreads my print, which is frustrating, but overall, it's a decent mid-ranger that does what it promises. I'd recommend it with a few caveats, especially for beginners like me.
- Pros: I really like how easy it is to get in without keys—just a quick touch with my finger and the door opens, which is super handy when I'm juggling groceries or the kids. The app lets me let people in remotely, so I can help out family or friends even if I'm not home, and it feels very secure and reliable in all kinds of weather.
- Cons: From what I feel, it can sometimes take a couple tries to recognize my fingerprint, especially if my hands are a bit wet or dirty, which is a bit annoying. Also, setting up the app was a little confusing at first, and I wish it worked a bit faster or had simpler instructions for someone like me who's not great with tech.
