first impression was solid—unboxed it and had it up in no time, which is great for someone like me who's into diy stuff. living in chicago, security is a big deal, and this doorbell makes my place feel safer without being over the top. the video is clear, and i get alerts quickly on my phone, which is handy when i'm busy cooking or just chilling. it detects movement well, though it occasionally mistakes a passing car or a pet for a person, which is a bit of a letdown. overall, it does what it promises and adds a nice layer of convenience to my home, but it's not perfect. i'd recommend it with a few caveats, especially if you're looking for something reliable without too many frills.
