I bought this as a gift for my wife to make things easier around the house, and overall it's been a decent addition. As an engineer, I appreciate the simplicity, but I'm critical about the execution. The first few weeks were smooth, but I've noticed it doesn't always lock as securely as I'd like, and the wireless aspect seems to drain power faster than expected. It does its job of keeping the door locked without keys, which is great for our family with a kid and a dog, but I'm not fully convinced it's foolproof. For the price, it's okay, but I'd expect fewer hiccups. It seems like a good step into modern home stuff, but it has its flaws that keep it from being perfect.
- Pros: I liked that it was easy to set up with no wires involved and the way it blends into the door without being obvious is a nice touch. Being able to open the door from my phone when I'm not at home is fairly convenient, and not having to carry keys around anymore is a relief.
- Cons: The remote control seems a bit finicky at times, not always responding right away, and I had a couple of issues with it not working properly when the battery was low. It feels like it could be more reliable for something meant to keep my home secure.
