We Technology IH-2 Smart Door Lock with Face Recognition: 6 ways to unlock
Say goodbye to fumbling for keys—this smart lock is like having a bouncer for your door, minus the intimidating vibe. It’s got six ways to say 'welcome home': recognize your face, scan your fingerprint, punch in a code, swipe an RFID card, use a traditional key (for those old-school moments), or just tap your phone. And yeah, it auto-locks because, let’s be honest, we’ve all wondered halfway to work if we remembered to lock the door.
Installation? A breeze. If your door’s between 45–90mm thick and has a single-latch mortise, you’re golden. No locksmith needed—just a few minutes and maybe a celebratory snack after. Plus, with the built-in HD camera and doorbell, you can play detective from your couch, checking out who’s at the door in real time. Manage it all from the Tuya WiFi App (2.4GHz only, because tech has its quirks), where you can spy on entry logs, hand out temporary codes like VIP passes, or lock/unlock from anywhere. Oh, and it’s buddies with Alexa and fits right into your smart home squad. Fancy, huh?

i bought this as a gift for my family, expecting it to be a game-changer for security, and it mostly delivered. reality is, it's way better than old locks or competitors i've tried—no more fumbling with keys, especially with a kid in tow. the face recognition is quick, and having multiple ways to unlock is handy. but it's not perfect; the heat issue and wifi limitation are drawbacks. overall, it adds peace of mind, and for the price, it's a solid choice that integrates well into our smart home setup.
- Pros: it arrived on time and was super easy to install myself, no need for a pro. i love that it locks itself automatically, so i never worry about forgetting. the camera lets me see who's at the door from my phone, and it works with my other smart home stuff, which is a huge plus.
- Cons: it runs hot sometimes, which is annoying, and it only connects to the slower wifi, not the faster one. the app can be a bit glitchy, and setting up temporary access for guests isn't as smooth as i'd like.
