i bought this as a gift for my dad who drives a lot and has allergies, thinking it would help with the stuffy air in his car. the problem was he always complained about dust and smells making his rides uncomfortable. this little device seemed like the solution—it's portable and easy to set up. but after using it for a couple of months, the takeaway is that it's just okay. it might catch some dust, but it doesn't tackle the bigger issues like odors or germs as well as i expected. it's helpful in a basic way, but i'm a bit unhappy because it didn't live up to the hype. for the price, i expected more, and as someone who likes diy stuff, i feel like i could have built something better myself. overall, it's not terrible, but it's not great either.
- Pros: it's quite small and fits right in my car's cup holder without any hassle, which is nice. from what i feel, the air seems a bit fresher, especially after driving with the windows up for a while. the power cable is easy to use with the car's port, and it doesn't make much noise, so i can still hear the radio or my thoughts. long story short, it was a decent gift idea for keeping the car air clean.
- Cons: unfortunately, it doesn't seem to do much for strong smells like smoke or pet odors, which was a big reason i got it. the light that's supposed to help clean the air is hard to notice and i'm not sure if it's really working. also, it feels a bit flimsy and i worry it might not last long with regular use. from what i feel, it's not as effective as i hoped, and the courier called ahead for delivery, but that didn't add any value.
