Leeds
April 23, 2025
As a stay-at-home mum in Leeds, I'm always on the go with my little ones, so I needed a phone that could keep up without constant worries. When I first got this OUKITEL, I was excited—it seemed like the perfect fit for my rational, practical side. But after using it for a couple of months, I have to ask myself: does it really meet all my needs? Well, the battery is a dream; I can go days without plugging it in, which is HUGE when I'm juggling school runs and meal prep. The screen size is great for watching recipes or keeping the kids entertained, and I love that it feels durable—I've already dropped it a few times, and it's held up fine. Storage-wise, it's a champ; no more deleting photos to make space. However, it's SO heavy that it weighs down my bag, and the software isn't as intuitive as I'd like; sometimes it lags when I'm switching between apps, which is frustrating. The camera is good in daylight but falls short indoors, and for the price, I expected more polish. Overall, it's a solid 3/5—it does the job well in some areas but misses the mark in others, making it just okay for my daily life.
- Pros: The battery life is incredibly impressive, lasting for days without needing a charge, which is a lifesaver with my hectic schedule. The screen is large and clear, making it easy to see everything even in bright light, and the storage is ample for all my photos and apps without any slowdown. It feels very sturdy in hand, like it can handle the inevitable drops from my kids, and the camera captures details beautifully, making my cooking photos look professional.
- Cons: The phone is quite heavy and bulky, which makes it awkward to carry around, especially when I'm out with the children. The user interface seems a bit clunky at times, not as smooth as I'd expect, and the camera struggles in low light, producing grainy images. It lacks some of the refinements I'm used to, making it feel a bit dated despite its power, and the high price point doesn't fully justify these shortcomings for me.
