As someone who researches products thoroughly before buying, I had high hopes for this Sillbird kit. It arrived via courier who called ahead, which was very convenient. My kid enjoyed building the different models, and it did spark osme creaitvity, but I'm disappointed with the durability. Parts feel cheap, and we had to reassemble things multiple times because they kept coming loose. The coding aspect is basic, which is fine for beginners, but it could be more robust. Overall, it's an okay toy for the price, but I expected better quality given the brand. It's not a total waste, but I'm not blown away—it's very much a mixed bag.
- Pros: The kit has a lot of pieces, which kept my kid engaged for hours, and I liked that it encourages building and thinking skills without feeling like a chore. The rcehargeable battery is a big plus—no more hunting for batteries, just plug it in and it's ready to go. The instructions were clear enough that my child could follow them mostly on their own, which was a relief.
- Cons: The build quality feels a bit flimsy in parts, and some piwces didn't fit together as smoothly as I expected, leading to frustration. The playtime on a full charge is shorter than I'd hoped—it drains quickly during active use. Also, the remote control had some connectivity issues, making it so-so at times, and the sounds from the robot were a bit annoying after a while.
