I bought this because my old mirror base was cracked and wobbly, making it hard to see behind me—definitely not safe with my kid in the car. My expectation was a simple, reliable replacement that wouldn't break the bank, and the reality is it delivered on that. It slotted right in with no fuss, and now the mirror stays put no matter what. The packaging was intact when it arrived, which was nice. I had a mechanic friend help me install it to be sure it was done right, but if you're handy, you could probably manage with the manual. Overall, it's an extremely solid part that does its job well, and I'm much happier with my drives now. :)
- Pros: The base fit my Kia perfectly without any modifications, just as promised, and it feels extremely sturdy, keeping the mirror securely in place even on bumpy roads. Long story short, it restored my rear visibility exactly as I expected, which is a huge relief for daily driving.
- Cons: As it seemed to me, the installation was a bit tricky and might require professional help to avoid misalignment, which could be a hassle for someone not familiar with car parts. Also, the price was a bit high for what it is, but I suppose you get what you pay for.
