Decision:

I had high hopes for this FF Flashfish unit, expecting it to be a reliable backup for my home and travels, given my budget-conscious nature and life-hacker approach. In reality, it does a decent job for small electronics like phones and cameras, but falls short with anything more demanding. The solar charging is a nice touch for sustainability, but it's not as efficient as I'd like, especially on cloudy days. Overall, it's a handy tool for emergencies or short trips, but I wouldn't rely on it for heavy-duty needs. It meets most of my expectations, but the limitations keep it from being perfect.

  • Pros: From what I feel, it's a real lifesaver during power outages here in Phoenix, keeping my essential devices running without a hitch. I appreciate that it's lightweight and easy to carry around, making it great for my travels. The ability to charge multiple things at once is a big plus, and the build seems sturdy enough to handle some bumps.
  • Cons: On the downside, the power output feels a bit too limited for larger appliances, and it takes a long time to recharge fully using solar, which can be frustrating. I wish it held a charge for a longer period, as it doesn't last as much as I expected for extended use.

Decision:

Bottom line this little gadget has saved me more than once when the power went out. It’s not perfect but for the price and what it does it’s a solid choice. I’ve only had it for a couple of weeks but it’s already proven its worth. Just don’t expect it to power your whole house. For keeping essential gadgets alive it’s extremely reliable.

  • Pros: The FF Flashfish solar generator is a lifesaver during our frequent power outages here in Phoenix. Its ability to keep my phone and small appliances running without a hitch is extremely impressive. The fact that it can be charged by the sun is a huge plus given our sunny weather. Its compact size means I can easily move it around the house or take it with me when I’m out in the garden.
  • Cons: While it’s great for small devices I found it struggles a bit with anything that requires more power. The initial setup was a bit confusing and the manual could be clearer. Also it seems to take a long time to fully charge using solar power especially on less sunny days.

Decision:

I was expecting a robust portable power solution and the FF Flashfish mostly delivers. It’s been reliable for keeping my phone and small electronics running during outages. The solar feature is a bonus though I’ve mostly used it plugged in. It’s not perfect but for the price it’s quite a good deal. I’d recommend it to anyone needing a portable power source that’s not too heavy on the wallet.

  • Pros: The FF Flashfish unit is quite the workhorse. It’s lightweight and portable just as advertised. The multiple output ports are a lifesaver for keeping my gadgets charged during power outages. The solar charging is a neat feature though I haven’t had to rely on it much yet. The build feels sturdy enough to last.
  • Cons: The power output could be a bit stronger for some of my larger devices. It’s not the fastest at charging but gets the job done. The solar charging seems more like a backup than a primary power source at least in my experience.
