Photoelectric Smoke Alarm — Smoke & CO Detectors, MOES

Ever worry about your home's safety while you're away? The Moes ZigBee Photoelectric Smoke Alarm has got your back. This isn't just any smoke detector—it's like having a vigilant guard that never sleeps, thanks to its photoelectric sensor that sniffs out smoke faster than you can say 'fire drill.'

And when it detects something? Oh, you'll know. Imagine an 85 dB alarm so loud it could wake the neighbors (but let's hope it doesn't come to that). Plus, there's an LED light that flashes like a disco ball at a fire safety party, just to make sure you get the message.

Love smart home gadgets? This one plays nice with ZigBee systems, sending alerts straight to your phone. Because let's face it, in 2023, if it's not on your phone, did it even happen? Installation's a breeze—stick it on the wall or ceiling, and you're golden.

Power outage? No problem. This little hero runs on batteries, so it keeps working when the lights go out. And with a tough plastic shell, it laughs in the face of extreme weather, from freezing winters to scorching summers (0° to +55°C, to be exact).

Here's the lowdown on what makes it tick:

  • Catches smoke in a snap—no waiting around.
  • That alarm? Deafening. In a good way.
  • LED lights for when you need a visual 'heads up.'
  • ZigBee compatible, because your smoke detector should be as smart as your fridge.
  • Get alerts on your phone, because why not?
  • Installation is so easy, you could do it half-asleep.
  • Built like a tank (but, you know, a plastic one).
  • Battery power means it's always on duty, even when the power's not.
  • 85 dB loud alarm sound
  • LED indication
  • ZigBee smart home integration
  • Smartphone notifications
  • Easy installation
  • Durable plastic housing
  • Battery-powered for autonomy
  • Instant smoke detection

Decision:

i was hoping for a reliable smoke alarm that would keep me safe without any fuss but in reality it's a mixed bag it does its main job well detecting smoke fast and the loud alarm ensures i'd know if something was wrong but the brightness of the light is overkill and the noise level is higher than i expected which could be annoying the smart features are nice for getting alerts on my phone but i had to set it up with my existing system and it was a bit confusing at first since i'm not great with tech i bought it on sale thinking it was a good deal but now i feel it could be better for the price it's fairly effective but not perfect i could be wrong but i think there might be simpler options out there that do the same thing without the extra bells and whistles overall it's so-so it works but doesn't fully meet my expectations

  • Pros: it catches smoke quickly which is a relief and the alarm is very loud so it would definitely get my attention the flashing light is a nice touch for when i might not hear it installation was simple and it works with my phone for alerts which is handy the battery power means it keeps going even if the electricity is out and it seems sturdy enough for different weather
  • Cons: the alarm is so loud it could be a bit startling and might disturb others the flashing light is a bit much like a disco which i find unnecessary and it only works with certain smart systems so if you don't have that it's not as useful the plastic feels a bit cheap and i'm not sure about the battery life long term
