as a builder who's into gaming and likes to research before buying, i was hopeful for these open-ear headphones from nothing. after using them for a couple of weeks, i have to say they're a mixed bag. on the plus side, the design is slim and easy to carry, and i like that i can stay aware of my environment—handy for work sites. the battery life is decent, lasting through a full day without needing a charge, and the fast top-up is a nice touch. but the downsides are hard to ignore. the sound is just not up to par; it's weak and doesn't have the punch i expected, especially for gaming where low lag is important. calls are a letdown—folks on the other end complain about echo or poor clarity, even with the mic tech. comfort-wise, after an hour or so, my ears start to ache from the hooks. i tried tweaking the sound settings through the app, but it didn't help much. overall, while they have some good ideas, the execution falls short for me. i'd recommend looking at other options if you want better performance without breaking the bank.
- Pros: i appreciate the way these sit outside the ears, making it easy to hear my surroundings while enjoying music, which is just what the doctor ordered for safety during walks. the battery lasts a good while, and the fit is secure with those hooks, so they don't fall out even when i'm moving around a lot. picking them up from the store was convenient, and they connect smoothly to my devices without much fuss.
- Cons: from what i feel, the sound quality isn't great—it's too quiet and lacks depth, making music feel flat. calls don't come through clearly; people say i sound distant or muffled, which is frustrating. they're not very comfortable for long periods, and the controls can be finicky to use. also, they don't block any outside noise, so in loud places, it's hard to hear anything properly.
