I bought this for my Mazda to make family trips easier with the kids but honestly it was a bit of a hassle to set up. I followed what I could from the manual but ended up winging it with basic tools. Once it was in though it works fairly well for radio and playing tunes from my old CDs or whatever. The navigation is decent but not perfect it seems to get me where I need to go most of the time but I've had a few wrong turns. For the price it's an okay upgrade but I expected better given the brand name. It does make the car feel newer and the touch screen is responsive which is nice but not amazing. Overall it's functional but could be improved especially with better guidance for installation.
- Pros: The screen responds well to touch and swapping it out for the old unit made the car look much nicer and more modern. It has maps built in so I don't need to use my phone for directions which is handy. Playing music from different sources is easy and it all fits into the dashboard without any extra clutter.
- Cons: The instructions that came with it were fairly useless just a bunch of confusing diagrams that didn't help much at all. It took me a whole weekend to get it installed and I had to guess a lot which was frustrating. Sometimes the maps seem a bit slow to update when I'm driving around Seattle.
