Before I got these I had basic blinds that were a pain to open and close especially with a kid around Now it's all automated I use the remote or my phone to control them and it's great for setting schedules like opening in the morning The installation was straightforward and they work well with my home setup though I wish they were quieter Overall a solid choice for a smart home gift but not flawless
- Pros: Honestly these blinds are a huge upgrade from my old ones no more messing with cords and the light control is fantastic I can set it to let in just the right amount or block everything out completely The remote and app make it easy to adjust from anywhere and the custom fit looks perfect on my windows
- Cons: The price seems a bit high compared to regular blinds and sometimes the motor is a little noisy when it moves It requires a power source which can be a hassle if you don't have an outlet nearby and the smart features might be too much for someone not into tech
