Decision:

before i got this, i was always fumbling with my bike's lights in the dark, which was annoying and kinda unsafe, especially after work when i'm tired, now with this thing, i can just click the remote to turn it on or off, which is handy, but honestly, it doesn't light up the road as much as i expected, it's fine for casual rides but not great for serious night riding, the battery does last a good while, like it kept going for my usual hour-long trips, but i wish it was brighter or maybe i should've gone for more units, overall, it's an okay upgrade but not amazing, i might look for something better next time

  • Pros: the remote control is a game-changer, making it super easy to adjust the light without stopping, and the battery lasts quite a while for my evening rides around vancouver, so i can enjoy longer trips without worrying about it dying too soon
  • Cons: the light output seems so-so, not as bright as i hoped for really dark nights, and with just one unit in my pack, it doesn't cover enough area to feel totally safe, plus the build quality feels a bit cheap for the price
