As a retired guy on a tight budget, I bought this watch thinking it would be a good deal for my outdoor interests, like hiking and catching concerts in the park. I've used it for a couple of months now, and while it does the job, I'm skeptical about some claims. The GPS helps me navigate when trails get fuzzy, but it's not perfect—sometimes it lags or gives wonky directions. The waterproof part is true; I've worn it in light rain and it's fine, but I haven't tested it in deep water. Making calls hands-free is convenient, but the sound quality isn't great, and it drains the battery faster. The flashlight and compass are neat features, but they feel a bit gimmicky; I mostly use them for fun rather than necessity. For tracking my activity, it's okay, but it doesn't match up to more expensive gadgets I've tried. Overall, it's a decent piece for the money, but I wouldn't call it amazing. If you're like me and want something tough without breaking the bank, it might work, but don't expect miracles.
- Pros: The GPS is fairly reliable for finding my way around the hills here in LA, and it holds up well in rain, which is handy for my walks. I like that I can make calls without holding my phone, and the light and compass are useful when it gets dark.
- Cons: It could be wrong, but the fitness tracking seems off at times, not as precise as I'd hope. The watch is a bit bulky and not very stylish, and the battery doesn't last as long as I'd like for all-day use. For the price, I expected more durability and better performance.
