I bought this Essager player a couple of weeks ago, mostly to have something portable for listening to music and maybe some audiobooks while I'm out with my dog or doing bits around the house. Coming from someone who's used to more advanced gadgets, I appreciate that it's fairly straightforward, but I have to say, it's not without its quirks. The touch screen works well enough, but it's not as smooth as I'm used to, and I wish it were a bit bigger for my older eyes. A tip I'd share: make sure to charge it fully before heading out, as the battery drains faster than I anticipated. Also, for better sound, I'd recommend using headphones rather than the built-in speaker—it's fine for a quick listen, but not for enjoying music properly. The wireless connection is reliable, which is a plus, and I like that it can count steps; it's a nice touch that makes me feel a bit more active. Overall, it's a decent little device for the price, but I'm a bit cautious about recommending it wholeheartedly due to the battery and sound issues. If you're on a tight budget and need something simple, it might do the trick, but don't expect too much. :)
- Pros: I quite liked the metal build; it feels sturdy in my hands and has a nice weight to it. The touch screen is fairly responsive, making it easy to navigate through my music and videos without much fuss. Being able to play audio without any wires is a real convenience, and the built-in speaker came in handy when I wanted to share a tune with my grandson or listen to something while doing chores around the house.
