DJI Mini 2 SE Lightweight Mini Drone with QHD Video: Beginner-Friendly
Ever dreamed of capturing breathtaking aerial footage without breaking the bank? The Mini 2 SE Drone from DJI makes it happen—packing a punch in a palm-sized package. Sure, it's the more budget-friendly sibling of the Mini 2, but don't let that fool you. It zooms through the sky at 36 mph, boasts a 6.2-mile OcuSync 2.0 video transmission (because losing signal is so last year), and still delivers the goods. Whether you're a newbie or a seasoned pro, the Mini 2 SE is a breeze to use. With QuickShots and panorama modes, pro-level shots are just a tap away. And despite its featherweight design, it laughs in the face of wind and always knows its way home.
What's in the box, you ask? Well, DJI didn't skimp here. You've got the Mini 2 SE Drone itself, an RC-N1 Remote Controller to keep things under control, and an Intelligent Flight Battery because, well, drones don't run on hopes and dreams. They've also thrown in a SanDisk 64GB microSD card (because you'll need somewhere to store all those epic shots), a high-speed USB memory card reader, and a DJI Shoulder Bag to carry your gear in style. Oh, and let's not forget the drone landing pad (for those less-than-graceful landings), a gimbal protector, a screwdriver (for those "I probably shouldn't have done that" moments), and a USB-C data cable. Plus, they've included cables for pretty much every device you own—USB-C, Lightning, Micro-USB—because DJI knows you've got options. And because things happen, there's a pair of propellers and six spare screws. Because let's face it, it's better to have them and not need them, right?

As a dad with kids who love outdoor stuff, I bought this to film our cycling and scooter adventures. It arrived quickly, and the courier called ahead, which was nice. Setting it up was straightforward, and I was flying it in no time. The video looks fantastic, and it's lightweight, so it's easy to carry around. But on windy days, it struggles to stay steady, and I've had a few close calls with signal drops. Overall, it's a fun gadget for the family, but it has its limits. I'd recommend it for beginners, but maybe not for serious use.
- Pros: It's incredibly easy to fly, even for someone like me who's new to this, and the video quality is sharp and clear, making it great for capturing family moments from above. The battery lasts a fair while, and it comes back to me automatically if it wanders off, which is a huge relief. Plus, the manual was actually useful for getting started.
- Cons: The wind can push it around a bit more than I'd like, and the range isn't as far as I hoped—it sometimes loses connection when I fly it too high or far. Also, the included bag is a bit small for all the accessories, and I wish it had more spare parts for accidents.
