i bought this charger a couple of weeks ago hoping it would be a good mid-ranger for my ev, set it up in my garage and used it daily, the long cable is a plus no doubt, but the smart functions are glitchy, tried to schedule charging at night to save on electricity but it kept resetting or not starting on time, had to manually adjust settings multiple times which defeats the purpose, the charging is faster than my old one but not as quick as i hoped, maybe adding around 20 miles an hour which is okay but not great, build quality feels flimsy, and i'm worried about it holding up in philly weather, especially with the temp swings we get, overall it does the job but with too many hiccups, probably won't last long, so i can't fully recommend it unless you're on a tight budget and don't mind the quirks :)
- Pros: the long cable is very handy for parking in my tight driveway without any hassle, and i like that it works with my car after getting an adapter for it, the charging speed is decent and faster than the basic one i had before, saving me some time during the week
- Cons: most likely it has some issues with the smart features not working as expected, had trouble setting up the scheduling and adjusting the current, which was frustrating, and the build feels a bit cheap for the price, not very reliable in my experience, also the warranty is short and customer support was hard to reach
