as a teacher who often grades papers or plays games in the evening, this lamp has been a solid addition to my desk. i picked it up on a whim, and most likely it was a good impulsive buy. the ability to set different brightness levels helps a lot when switching between tasks, and i've found it useful for my kid's homework too—just bend it over and it lights up the whole area. a tip: if you're using it for extended periods, maybe place it a bit away to avoid the warmth. overall, it's reliable and does what it promises, though not perfect. i'd recommend it with that in mind.
