before i got these, my backyard was just a dark spot with a couple of dim lights—pretty boring, honestly. now, it's like having a personal light show; i can make it vibrant for parties or keep it soft for a quiet night. installation was straightforward, and they blend well with my existing setup. as a family guy, my kid loves the colour changes, and it's great for when we have friends over. but yeah, the app dependency is a bit annoying, and i had a few hiccups getting it all synced. overall, it's a solid upgrade that adds a lot of fun without too much hassle, though not perfect.
- Pros: the app makes it extremely easy to change colours and brightness from my phone, which is a huge step up from messing with old switches. the lights are built tough and handle rain without any issues, and the range of colours and white tones lets me set the perfect mood for evenings in the garden.
- Cons: the app took some faff to get set up initially, and i wish the beam adjustment was simpler without needing extra bits. from what i feel, the price is a bit steep compared to other options in the same range, and the reliance on the app means if my phone's dead, i'm stuck with whatever was last set.
