VTech 80-193887 Kidizoom Smart Watch DX2: Dual camera for videos and selfies
Looking for a kid's first smartwatch that's more than just a time-teller? The VTech Kidizoom Smart Watch DX2 nails it with a mix of fun, learning, and just enough tech to make them feel like a mini spy. Imagine their delight snapping videos and selfies with the dual cameras—then flipping their watch face to show off their latest masterpiece. It's not all play, though; the interactive games sneak in some brain boosts and get them moving with a step counter (because, let's be honest, convincing kids to exercise is half the battle).
But wait, there's more (and no, we're not selling knives on TV):
- With over 50 clock faces, they can switch from digital to analog faster than you can say 'time flies.'
- Photos? They can go wild with funny effects, stamps, and filters—because why have a boring pic when you can have a unicorn background?
- Voice recording gets a twist with sound effects, perfect for those top-secret missions or just annoying their siblings.
- It's got all the basics covered too: alarm, calculator, timer, calendar, and stopwatch. Because even kids have schedules (sort of).
- And for the curious minds, hook it up to Explor@ Park to unlock even more content. Because why stop at cool when you can be cooler?
- Interactive games and learning activities
- Customizable watch faces with photos
- Voice recording with sound effects
- Step counter for active play
- Dual camera for videos and selfies

i got this for my niece as a gift and she was over the moon with it at first she spent hours taking photos and videos playing with all the funny effects and changing the watch face every day it was adorable to see her so excited but after a couple of weeks the novelty wore off a bit and she started complaining about the weight on her wrist shes a petite kid so that might be why i helped her set up the online part and it was a bit confusing took us a while to figure it out the games are cute and educational which i appreciate and the step counter got her moving more which is a plus but the battery life is a letdown it needs charging almost daily if she uses the cameras a lot overall it's a fun toy for kids but not something i'd rely on for long term use it seems well made but not super sturdy i'd recommend it for occasional play rather than everyday wear
- Pros: the dual cameras are super fun for capturing moments and the variety of clock faces keeps it fresh, i love how it encourages movement with the step counter and the games are engaging without being too simple, the sound effects in voice recording add a playful twist and connecting to the extra content online was a nice bonus
- Cons: it seems a bit bulky on smaller wrists and the battery doesn't last as long as i'd hoped especially with heavy use, some of the features feel a bit gimmicky and might not hold interest for long, the setup for the online content was a hassle and it's not the most durable for rough play
