As a retired teacher in Philadelphia I'm always looking for ways to stay active and this scooter caught my eye during my research. I've been using it for over six months now mostly for short trips to the park or grocery store. I was skeptical at first because I'm not one for new gadgets but it's held up well. The safety features are a big plus no slips or falls yet :) However the ride isn't as smooth as I'd hoped on our city streets and it can be noisy which draws stares. Overall it's a decent choice for fitness but not perfect for daily rough use. I'd recommend it with caution especially for older folks like me.
- Pros: From what I feel the handles are very grippy and secure which is great for my shaky hands and the deck doesn't slip at all even on wet Philly sidewalks. It folds up easily and is light as a feather so I can carry it into my classroom or store it in my small car trunk without a fuss. The adjustable handlebars mean it fits me perfectly at my height and I can share it with my grandkids when they visit.
- Cons: The wheels are a bit beast on rough pavement they make a loud noise and I feel every bump which isn't comfortable for my old joints. It took me a while to get used to folding and unfolding it smoothly and I wish it had a simpler mechanism for someone like me who's not tech-savvy.
