So I got this DIYelecs controller for my Switch, and as a brand loyalist, I was hopeful. At first, it seemed just okay—nothing special, you know? But it grew on me over time. The way it sits in my hands is comfortable, no cramps even after hours of gaming, which is a big plus. Tapping the amiibos works without a hitch, adding that extra fun to my sessions. On the flip side, I had some moments where the response wasn't instant, making me question if I tapped right, and that's a bit annoying. Overall, it's decent but not perfect—would I recommend it? Maybe, if you're patient. As it seemed to me, it's a solid three out of five.
- Pros: The shape fits my hands well so I can play for a long time without discomfort, and tapping the figures to unlock things in games feels smooth and reliable, which is a nice touch.
- Cons: It took a while to get used to, and sometimes the connection feels a bit off, making me wonder if it's working as it should, which is too finicky for my liking.
