As a brand loyalist to Dahua, I bought this hoping it would be perfect for keeping an eye on my pets while I'm at work. Honestly, it does a good job overall—the night vision is impressive, reaching far into the dark, and the design blends well in my home. But why did I give it four stars instead of five? Well, I've been using it for a couple of weeks now, and while the video is reliable, the audio issues and occasional lighting problems make me question if it's the best fit. I set it up myself without any trouble, which is a plus, but I wish the sound was clearer for when I want to hear what's happening. Would I recommend it? Yes, but with a note that it's not flawless. It gets the job done for surveillance, but if you need top-notch audio, you might want to look elsewhere :)
- Pros: From what I feel, the camera is extremely easy to set up with the power-over-ethernet option, and I love that it works without any cloud services by using a memory card. The video quality is sharp both day and night, and the ability to adjust the view from wide to close-up is very handy. It's also quite durable with its metal build, which gives me peace of mind.
- Cons: I'm a bit skeptical about the audio quality; the built-in microphone doesn't pick up sounds as clearly as I'd hoped, especially from a distance.
