when i first got this, i thought it was a game changer—no more fumbling with lids or worrying about dead batteries. my dog took to it right away, and it's been super convenient for our busy household. but after using it for a bit, i've noticed some quirks. it works great most of the time, but if my pet doesn't come straight on, it might not trigger, and that's a letdown. charging is easy with the included cable, but i wish it held a charge longer; i have to plug it in every few days, which isn't ideal. overall, it's a good product that does what it says, but it's not perfect. i'd recommend it with some reservations, especially if you're handy and don't mind the minor issues. for me, it's a solid three out of five—does the job but could be improved. this is just my take, i could be wrong, but it's been very helpful despite the flaws.
- Pros: i love how the lid opens on its own when my pet gets close, it feels like magic and saves me so much hassle 😊 the rechargeable battery is a huge plus, no more buying and tossing batteries, which is great for the environment and my wallet. the size is just right for my medium-sized dog, holding enough food without being too big or small.
- Cons: sometimes the lid doesn't open smoothly if my pet approaches from a weird angle, which can be frustrating. the battery life could be better; i find myself charging it more often than i'd like, and it doesn't last as long as i hoped between charges. also, the build feels a bit flimsy in places, not as sturdy as i expected for the price.
