so, why did i buy this? well, i was drawn in by the specs and the brand name, but honestly, i'm a bit disappointed. as a software developer, i thought i could handle the sideloading thing, but it's more annoying than i anticipated. i keep asking myself, is it worth it? the display is gorgeous, no doubt, and the speed is top-notch for my daily tasks. but not having easy access to apps i rely on for work and cooking recipes is a real downside. i mean, for the price, i could've gotten something that just works. it's too much of a compromise. i'm cautious about recommending it unless you're really tech-savvy and don't mind the extra effort. overall, it's a powerful device, but the lack of convenience makes me hesitant.
- Pros: the screen is absolutely stunning with vibrant colors that make everything pop, and it's really big which i love for watching videos. performance is smooth, no lag even when i'm multitasking or playing games. the camera takes incredibly detailed photos, especially in good light, and the selfie cam is great too. battery life is impressive, i can go a full day without worrying about charging.
- Cons: the biggest issue is that it doesn't have access to the usual app store, which is a huge hassle since i have to find workarounds for everything. for the price, i expected it to just work out of the box without these extra steps. it feels a bit too bulky in my hand sometimes, and i could be wrong, but the software might not be as polished as i'd like.
