i picked this up as a gift for a friend who's into fishing, and i gave it a test run myself before handing it over. first impression was pretty good—the led is definitely a standout feature, cutting through the evening gloom nicely. but as i used it, i noticed that the tail drift part doesn't always mimic real prey convincingly; it can be a bit erratic. for an advanced user like me, who's used to more refined gear, it felt a bit gimmicky. it does the job, but don't expect it to revolutionize your fishing game. overall, it's an okay product, not amazing but not terrible either. :)
- Pros: the light on this thing is quite bright and easy to see in low light, which is handy when it's getting dark out. it seems sturdy and has lasted through a few outings without any issues, and the battery doesn't drain too fast, so i didn't have to worry about it dying on me mid-session.
- Cons: after some settings, it didn't always make the bait move as naturally as i hoped, sometimes it just kind of bobbed around without much drift. the sensitivity felt a bit off at times, making it hard to tell if i had a bite or if it was just the water moving it. it's not as foolproof as it seemed to me from the description.
