I bought this XuYiEC dash cam as a gift for my partner, who's into cycling and scooters, and it's been quite helpful for safety. Compared to what I used before, this one feels more advanced with its phone link and automatic features. A tip: make sure to get a good quality storage card to avoid issues. It's been reliable for the short time I've had it, and I'd recommend it with that caveat. :)
- Pros: The wide view is quite impressive—it captures so much of the road ahead, making it easy to see everything around me. I love how I can connect it to my phone without any cables; it's truly plug-and-play for watching videos right away. The automatic saving when there's a jolt has already come in handy, and it handles heat well, which is a big plus here in Atlanta.
- Cons: As it seemed to me, not including a storage card is a bit of a letdown—I had to buy one separately, which added to the cost. The setup took a little figuring out, and sometimes the connection to my phone can be finicky, dropping unexpectedly.
