as an office worker who commutes daily in san jose, i bought this to have a reliable record of my drives, given the unpredictable traffic here. i'm quite analytical, so i tested it thoroughly over a short period. why did i choose it? well, the dual-camera setup seemed ideal for covering all angles, and the automatic saving feature appealed to my rational side for potential insurance needs. but honestly, i'm disappointed. it works well when it functions, but the random stops in recording make me question its dependability. i had high hopes, especially for the price point, but it falls short of my expectations. would i recommend it? probably not, as the cons outweigh the pros for someone like me who values consistency. it's okay for basic use, but i expected more from a product like this.
- Pros: i quite liked that it has two lenses, one facing forward and one backward, so it captures both the road ahead and what's happening behind the vehicle. the video quality is sharp and clear, making it easy to see details. it automatically saves clips if it senses a jolt or impact, which feels reassuring for documenting incidents. the built-in location tracking adds useful information to the recordings, showing speed and route. setup was straightforward, and it arrived on time as expected.
- Cons: from what i feel, i expected more in terms of reliability; it occasionally stops recording without warning, which is disappointing. the wide view from the front lens sometimes distorts images at the edges, making things look a bit warped. it gets quite warm during extended use, which worries me about long-term durability. the rear lens's cable is a bit cumbersome to manage neatly in the car.
