as someone who is not great with tech i was worried thsi would be too complicated but reality was much better than my expectation installation took minutes and it feels secure the fingerprint recognition is fast and accurate most of the time and i love that i can use a code or my phone too it has mdae my life easier no more lost keys and it looks good on my door the support is helpful though i have not needed it much overall it is a solid upgrade for my home and i would recommend it to others especially older folks like me who want simplicity and reliability
- Pros: i expected this lock to be a hassle to set up but it was incredibly easy no tools needed beyond a screwdriver and it just works the fingerprint part is sleek and quick no more fumbling for keys whch is a relief especially after concerts when my hands are full it handles all weather here in chicago from hot summers to cold winters without a hitch and the battery life is long with warnings so i never get locked out
- Cons: the gateway for smart home stuff is sold sepsrately which is a bit annoying since i wanted to use it with my assistant but most likely it is not a dealbreaker also the batteries are not included and while i had some it feels like a small oversight for the price the fingerprint can be finicky if my hands are wet or dirty but that is rare
