so, i got this fiweiinpor lock a couple months back, thinking it might make things easier. you know, as someone who's not too techy, i was a bit skeptical. is it worth it? well, it could be wrong, but here's my take. first off, the good parts: no more keys jangling in my pocket, and it blends in with my cabinet, so it doesn't look out of place. installation was a breeze—just screwed it on myself, no pro needed. tapping the card to unlock is simple, and it feels sturdy, like it'll last. but then, the not-so-good: sometimes it doesn't respond, and i end up fumbling, which is ironic since it's supposed to prevent that. also, if i misplace a card, i'm in trouble because there's no backup way in. battery died too soon for my liking, had to replace it already. overall, it's so-so—does the job but has its quirks. would i recommend it? maybe, if you're into this kind of thing, but for me, it's just okay. :)
- Pros: it's nice not to carry keys around anymore, and the lock looks pretty good on my furniture, not sticking out or anything. it was easy to put on by myself, which is a plus since i hate calling people for help. tapping a card to open it is straightforward, and it feels solid, like it won't break easily.
- Cons: sometimes it doesn't unlock right away, and i have to tap the card a few times, which is annoying. it only works with the cards it came with, so if i lose one, i'm stuck. the battery life could be better—i've had to change it already after a short while. it's a bit pricey for what it does, and i'm not sure it's that much better than a regular lock.
