i picked this up because i wanted something to make fishing less boring and more productive, and it's done just that. the alerts for bites are very noticeable with the flashing lights, so i don't miss much even when i'm not paying full attention. it's easy to use, just set it up and let it do its thing, which is perfect for a beginner like me. i've used it a few times in both fresh and saltwater, and it hasn't let me down yet. overall, it feels like a good deal for the money, and it's made my fishing trips more enjoyable without being too complicated. :)
- Pros: the lights on this thing are very bright and catch my eye even when it's dark out, which is great for night fishing. it moves in a way that seems to attract fish better than my old floats, and it's built tough for all kinds of water without any issues so far. battery life has been reliable for a full day out, and it's cut down on me just staring at the water waiting for something to happen.
- Cons: as it seemed to me, it might be a bit pricey for what it does compared to basic floats, and i'm not sure how long the battery will hold up over time since i've only had it a short while. the movement feature is cool, but it doesn't always feel natural, and i worry it could scare off some fish if overused.
