I bought this after hearing good things, and as a logistics guy, I appreciate efficiency. Used it a few times over the past couple months—not too long, but enough to get a feel. First time out, on a still lake, it was brilliant; I caught more fish without the usual guesswork. But when I tried it in a river with a bit of flow, it got confused and gave false alerts, which was fairly frustrating. I had to adjust the settings a lot, and it didn't always play nice with my existing rod. Still, for calm days, it's a solid tool that saves time and effort. Not perfect, but a step up from old bobbers. Would recommend with caveats—great if you fish in placid waters mostly.
- Pros: This float is a game-changer for bite detection; it picks up even the slightest nibble without me staring endlessly. The visual alerts are clear from a distance, and it works well in calm waters, reducing missed strikes. Delivery was quick, and it feels durable for its size.
- Cons: It didn't perform as well in stronger currents, with some false signals that annoyed me. Pairing it with my gear required a fair bit of tweaking, and it's not cheap for what it offers. As it seemed to me, it could be more versatile for different fishing spots.
