before getting this bike, i was using a regular one for my commute, and it was a struggle with ottawa's hilly streets and occasional rough trails. after switching, the difference is noticeable—i can tackle slopes without much effort and enjoy longer rides without getting tired. but as a perfectionist, i notice the little flaws: the gear changes aren't seamless, and the braking could use improvement. it's definitely an upgrade, but not the flawless experience i hoped for. overall, it's good for getting around and fits my low budget, but i might look for something better in the future. :)
- Pros: from what I feel, this bike is a game changer for handling tough paths with those big tires and smooth suspension, making my daily rides super easy even on rough ground. the battery lasts a long time, letting me go far without worrying, and the display is clear and works well in any weather, which is handy.
- Cons: it's not perfect though; the brakes could be better, sometimes feeling a bit weak when stopping quickly, and shifting gears isn't as smooth as I'd like, which can be annoying. also, the power feels a bit inconsistent on steep hills, not always delivering what I expect.
