As an engineer, I had high expectations for this SOLT set, thinking it would be a step up from what we used before. In reality, it's a solid educational tool that encourages hands-on learning, but it's not perfect. My child loves building the robot-like creations, and I see it helping with spatial skills. However, the frustration with assembly can be a bit much at times, and while it's rechargeable, I wish it had a longer playtime per charge. Compared to other brands, it holds up well in quality, but it's not the most innovative out there. Overall, it's a good purchase that meets most of our needs, though it could use some improvements in user-friendliness.
- Pros: The set is incredibly engaging for my six-year-old, sparking creativity and problem-solving skills in a fun way. I appreciate that it charges with a common cable, so no need for batteries, which is a huge plus. Compared to other building toys, the pieces fit together smoothly and feel durable, making it great for repeated use.
- Cons: From what I feel, the instructions could be a bit clearer, as my kid got kinda annoyed when things didn't snap right away. Also, the delivery was delayed a day, but it was fine overall. It might not hold interest for older kids or adults as much as I hoped.
