As a builder I went into this expecting a solid reliable camera for keeping an eye on my property and my pets and overall it delivers The reality is its a capable device that does most of what it promises The setup was straightforward and I had it running in no time which is a big plus for someone like me who values practicality The image is incredibly detailed during the day and the night vision works well though not flawlessly Ive caught a few neighborhood animals on camera which is fun but I did notice some limitations in range and accuracy The detection features cut down on false alerts but arent foolproof and the audio could be stronger For the price its a good value but not perfect I recommend it with some reservations as it meets my needs without being the best out there
- Pros: I was incredibly impressed with how easy it was to set up just plug it in and it started working right away The picture quality is sharp and clear making it feel like I have a real pair of eyes watching over my yard even at night when it switches to seeing in the dark without me lifting a finger It smartly picks out people and cars so I dont get bothered by every little thing and I love that I can talk through it to shoo away critters or greet visitors The weatherproofing holds up well in Seattles rain and I appreciate the flexibility to save footage how I want
- Cons: It could be wrong but I found the wide view sometimes distorts the edges a bit making things look a little off and the night vision while good doesnt reach as far as I hoped in my larger yard The detection isnt perfect it still misses some things or flags non issues and the two way audio is a bit quiet needing me to speak up Storage options are flexible but setting it up with my existing system took some extra tinkering which wasnt as plug and play as I expected
